Classic Elegance — The Traditional Marriage Biodata Format, Done Properly
This is the format most Indian families picture when they hear the word biodata: serif headings, a warm gold accent, sections in the order everyone expects. What it avoids is the clip-art and heavy borders that make so many traditional formats look like they were made in Word in 2009.
It is the safest choice on this page. When you do not know who will read the biodata first, this one will not surprise anybody.
About Me
I design software for a living and make pottery badly on weekends. I read more than I watch, I am the person friends call when a spreadsheet stops making sense, and I would rather host six people for dinner than go to a party of sixty.

We are a close family that still eats dinner together most nights. My parents are practising but not strict, and they have been clear that this decision is mine to make.

Best for
- Biodata that goes to parents, elders and relatives before it reaches the candidate
- Families who want something that prints cleanly for an in-person meeting
- Anyone who wants a familiar document rather than a design statement
- Sharing through a broker or a family network, where convention counts
Why the familiar order matters
Sections run in the sequence families actually read: who you are, then education and work, then family, then horoscope details, then what you are looking for. Reading order is not a small thing. A biodata that puts hobbies above family background reads as odd to the person deciding whether to take the conversation forward.
What to write when you use it
Fill in the cultural fields properly — gotra, rashi, nakshatra, manglik status, mother tongue. This design gives them a proper place, and leaving them blank in a traditional format is conspicuous in a way it is not elsewhere. If you do not know your nakshatra, it is usually on your birth chart or a parent will.
Where it is the wrong choice
If your biodata is going to people who will read it on a phone between meetings, the serif type and formality can feel heavier than it needs to. Modern Minimal is easier at speed.
Try it with your own details
Create your biodata once and switch between designs freely — nothing is retyped, and your profile link stays the same. Classic Elegance is available on the free plan.
